After twenty-five years on Wall Street, we work with owners in Northern New Jersey and Rockland County to build companies that don't depend on them — sharper processes, a real back office, and a clear view of what the business is worth.

Who we work with
Owners of profitable businesses in Northern New Jersey and Rockland County — typically $1M to $25M in revenue, with a real management story.
Outside that range? Tell us anyway. We'd rather point you to the right person than waste your time — or ours.
About
Twenty-five years at a global investment bank, most recently as a Managing Director running trading businesses and multi-billion-dollar P&Ls. Building teams. Rebuilding the ones that weren't working. Negotiating across the table from institutional counterparties whose full-time job was getting the better of us.
That's not a résumé. It's the reason we're useful.
We live and work here. Bergen County isn't a territory on a map to us.
What we do
Most owner-run businesses don't have a process problem. They have a the-process-is-in-the-owner's-head problem. We build the machinery that lets the company run without you in every decision.
An outside read on the decisions that matter. What the company is worth and why. Where margin is leaking. Whether that hire, that location, that piece of equipment, or that customer concentration is a risk or an opportunity. Owners make these calls alone far too often.
The eighteen to thirty-six months before a sale are where value is made or lost. Clean financials, reduced owner dependence, documented processes, customer concentration, key-person risk — a buyer discounts every one of them, and every one is fixable with lead time. We build the plan, do the work, and get you to the table ready.
The three connect. Better operations make a better business — and a better business is worth more the day you sell it.
Process
Fifteen minutes, confidential, no cost. What you've built, what you want, and whether we're the right fit.
Where the business is leaking time, margin, or transferable value — and what it's worth as it stands today. You keep the work whether or not we go further.
Fix and hold, prepare and exit, or do nothing for now. All three are legitimate answers.
Scope, deliverables, and timeline in writing before anything starts.
FAQ
Completely. Nothing is discussed with your employees, your customers, or anyone else. Most owners exploring these questions aren't ready for the people around them to know they're asking.
The first conversation costs nothing. If there's a fit, we define the scope, the deliverables, and the timeline in writing before any work begins. You'll know exactly what you're getting and exactly when it ends.
That's most of the work. Better processes and a real back office make the company easier to run whether you sell in two years or twenty — and they raise what it's worth either way.
Two to three years out. Owners who plan ahead consistently net more than owners reacting to a health scare or an unsolicited offer. If your timeline is shorter, there's still work worth doing — it's just triage instead of strategy.
Most small and mid-sized companies trade on a multiple of adjusted earnings, and the multiple turns on industry, size, growth, customer concentration, and how dependent the operation is on the owner. Two businesses with identical revenue can be worth very different amounts. Getting to your number is the first thing we do.
Less than you'd think. The point of the engagement is to take work off your desk, not add to it.
Fifteen minutes, confidential, no cost, no obligation. Call, text, or email. If the answer is "not yet," that's a useful answer too.
